Fresh cannabis leaves are full of amazing health benefits and can be used in a variety of recipes. Rich with nutrients and vitamins, this plant should be seen more as an essential dietary aid rather than a specific medicine. We shouldn’t have to wait until we are sick to treat ourselves. True health means taking preventative measures to ensure our body’s homeostasis.

The ways in which we can add fresh cannabis leaves into our meals are endless. If we look at cannabis as the leafy green vegetable that it is, we can add or exchange cannabis leaves in our meals where other leafy greens have resided. Check out some of my favorites:
Fresh Cannabis Pesto
Ingredients Needed:
3-4 cloves of Garlic
3 tablespoons Crushed Nut of Choice (Almond, Pine, Cashew)
1 cup Fresh Cannabis Leaves
1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
3 tablespoons Olive Oil (add more as needed for desired consistency)
1 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese
This recipe is easiest with a food processor. Simply combine all ingredients and blend to a smooth consistency. If you do not have a food processor, you can finely chop all ingredients and combine. There are dozens of ways to enjoy pesto, my favorite is in a big pot of pasta. Click here to browse through more ways to use pesto.
